Noter : "A little about the ship S/S Raceland, and the crew, which was bombed by a German airplane on the 28 March 1942, sailing in convoy PQ 13 from Iceland to Murmansk in the Soviet Union. On board were a crew of 45 - 47, and only 12 survived. Among the dead was my uncle, Eskild Ditlev Lauth."
Skibet s/s Raceland, og besætningen, blev bombet af et tysk luftfartøj den 28. marts 1942, da i konvoj var på vej fra Island til Murmansk i Sovjetunionen. Ombord var en besætning på 45-47 mand, hvoraf kun 12 overlevede. Blandt de døde var min onkel Eskild Ditlev Lauth.
